As in Brody's character in The Pianist was... a pianist. Not quite true in The Brutalist, which is a style of architecture and arguably not even the style his character is depicted as designing; Brady Corbet thought it fit the storyline. Maybe it's not as obvious as, say, Anora or Emilia Pérez where the title IS the character's name, but his character was the embodiment of The Pianist's title, much like Chalamet as Bob Dylan or Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba this year.
Luise Rainer died in 2014 at age 104, well before Billie Eilish surpassed her last year as the youngest ever double Oscar winner. (Billie's brother & songwriting partner Finneas O'Connell is now second, then Rainer.) The current oldest living Oscar winner is 100-year-old Eva Marie Saint, followed closely by songwriter Alan Bergman who will turn 100 later this year.
